Each manual arrives with its provenance attached — who copied it, from which archive, and what it cost them. Read it as a story or read it as a warning.
Unsanctioned transmission · 禁書
We copied them anyway. Full technique sets — forms, breathing cycles, meridian charts, the parts the elders tear out before a disciple is allowed to look — transcribed, illustrated, and bound into PDFs that fit in your pocket.
No oath. No sect registration. No elder's permission. Delivered the moment you pay.
Each manual arrives with its provenance attached — who copied it, from which archive, and what it cost them. Read it as a story or read it as a warning.
Every stance, every meridian route, every breathing cycle is illustrated by hand in ink. These are books you will want open on a desk, not a wall of grey text.
Pay, and the file is in your hands before the incense burns down. No shipping, no borders, no customs officer asking what is in the case.
藏書閣 · The Vault
Two temples. Two complete compendiums, copied whole rather than in fragments. Prices in silver the sects would consider an insult.
The Complete Arts of Mount Hua
The Sect Master's Compendium — every art of the mountain in one binding: the twenty-four forms of the Plum Blossom Sword, the Twelve Roads of the Fist, the Eight Petals of the Palm, the Nine Steps, and all five stages of the Purple Mist Divine Art.
Provenance Copied once in a generation, by the hand of the retiring sect master, for the hand of the next. No disciple's manual contains what this one contains. The Sword Hall counts its books at dusk.
Read five pages free →The Complete Arts of Shaolin
The Abbot's Compendium, in seven parts — the eighteen staff forms, the Arhat's Eighteen Hands, the Vajra Palm, the Single Reed Steps, the five animal forms, the Seventy-Two Arts, the Eighteen Arms of the weapons hall, and the Muscle-Tendon Change Classic that gates all of it.
Provenance Copied by hand once, when an abbot knows he is dying, and given to the one who will sweep after him. The Temple has declined to pursue this copy. The Hall of Records entered the loss plainly, without comment, and left the south gate open.
Read five pages free →Both Compendiums
Mount Hua and Shaolin together — the sword mountain and the temple, the two traditions that spent four hundred years insisting they had nothing to learn from each other. Read side by side, the argument is worth the silver on its own.
Provenance Everything the Vault currently holds, in one transmission. Anything recovered later is sent to collection holders without further payment.
珍奇 · Coming to the Vault
The Vault began with manuals. It will not end with them. These are being tracked down, authenticated, and — where they can be — set down for the shelf. Nothing here is for sale yet; it is a list of what the broker is chasing.
Elixir & Medicine Formulas
Pill and decoction recipes the alchemy halls price by the character, set down as formularies — ingredient by ingredient, cycle by cycle. Fiction, not medicine.
ForthcomingTalismans & Wards
The warding papers pasted over sect gates and coffin lids, drawn to scale and ready to print — the stroke order kept exactly as the originals had it.
ForthcomingThe Spirit-Stone Catalogue
A collector's guide to the graded stones — spirit and mana both — what each is said to be worth, and how the old appraisers told a true one from a salted fake.
ForthcomingStranger Things Still
Beast bestiaries, sect atlases, forbidden inventories. The broker does not say what, only that word will come to those who asked to hear it.

Every circulation route is drawn, labelled, and cross-referenced to the form it belongs to. This plate is from the Mount Hua compendium.
“The third cycle is drawn wrong in every copy I have seen, including the one in the archive. I have drawn it as my teacher showed me. Judge for yourself.”
— marginal note, Mount Hua compendium, folio 88
傳言 · Word from the world
Written in-world, like everything else here. Fiction, not reviews.
Three years of sweeping the courtyard before they let me see the first form. This arrived in an afternoon. I have made peace with my feelings about that.
Outer disciple, third year
I bought the Shaolin volume to prove it was a forgery. Page eighty-one is addressed to me personally. I would like to return to my previous life now.
Sect inspector, name withheld
The meridian plates alone are worth the silver. I have been teaching from the wrong chart for eleven years, and the Temple's own book says so on page ninety.

茶館 · The Teahouse
In the old stories news moved through teahouses — who had been seen where, which sect had lost what, which manual had surfaced in which market. Ours is no different, except that it is open all night and nobody checks your sect token at the door.
Trade theories, argue about which cycle the third form really belongs to, and hear first when something new is recovered. Bring your own tea.
Enter the teahouseThe Vault is one person, a brush, and an unreasonable deadline. If something here was worth more than you paid for it, leave a little silver on the counter.
Leave silverSay your piece below and it stays on the wall for whoever passes next. Every message is read before it appears, so give it a moment to show up.
謄本 · Brought in by others
The Vault did not write these books; it collects them. If you have set down a manual of your own — a sect, a sabre form, an internal method nobody has heard of — send it in. Accepted copies go on the shelf below with your name on them, or whichever name you would like to be known by.
Tell us the sect, the art, and how it left their hands. Every copy is read before it goes up — the broker has a reputation, such as it is.

The moment payment clears, a download link appears on screen and again in your email. The file is a standard PDF — it opens on a phone, a tablet, an e-reader, or a printer, and it is yours to keep. No account, no app, no subscription.
Your original download link does not expire, so the receipt email still works. If that email is gone, sign in to your library — whichever service took your payment keeps a record of everything you own and will send a fresh link. There is no account to create here and no password for this site, which is deliberate: the Vault never stores one, so it can never lose one.
No — and we would rather say so plainly than be clever about it. The PDF is real and the artwork is real. The sects, the theft, the scribe and the reward posters are invented, the way a novel is invented. You are buying a beautifully made work of fiction that behaves like a forbidden book. Read the Notice at the foot of this page.
Within thirty days, for any reason at all, including “I changed my mind.” Reply to your receipt and it is done. You keep the file; we are not going to break into your house over a PDF.
You will not develop qi, levitate, split a boulder, or extend your lifespan by three hundred years. If you want the honest version: you will get a gorgeous illustrated book, a great deal of worldbuilding, and a reference that fiction writers and artists have found genuinely useful. Do not attempt any physical technique described inside without a qualified teacher watching you.
The sect is fictional and cannot locate you. Your card statement will say something boring.
Print it, bind it, hang the plates on a wall — it is your copy. Please do not upload it or resell it; the Vault is one person with a brush and a very long deadline.
